Hi guys, this is my MixPad Review. If you came here without a clue, I might as well start by telling you that
MixPad is a "multi-track music-mixing-program" made for audio production. (aka recording music on your computer).

Allright, let's get started. First of all I want to say that MixPad can be downloaded for free as a trial-version here.
Regardless of what you read here it never hurts trying it. Not that I believe I will discourage people from using it anyhow
but just to throw it out there. Now you know where to acquire it, if you didn't know allready.

MixPad is produced by NCH Software. A software company making audio, telephony and dictation programs.
In this review I will go over my personal experience with MixPad, as a musician, and producer, so technical terms and such
are not that relevant. Which is what most people will expect from a review anyway.

When you first download the trial version and open the program after installing it, the first thing that comes to your mind is:
Wow. This is really user-friendly. When I say user-friendly I mean it is very easy to understand. Some might look at this and say
that it's an amateur-studio, while I on the other hand find it to be charming in it's own way. It's simplicity makes it both fun, and
to me, a little "un-serious". Not the product itself, but the whole experience gives an impression more of "fun", than of "seriousness".
I think it's because of the simplicity in the graphical design of MixPad.

Okay, so let's record something! Recording is painless, and the sound is great. I bet it would be even better if I had a better microphone.
Not much to say about the quality, except it's absolutely good enough. You can also record "unlimited" tracks. Which is very fun, if you
want to back your voice up, play 10 guitars, or something else crazy.

Now the FX. In the trial version I have my hands on you can choose between "echo", "chorus", "flanger", "distortion", and "reverb".
The reverb sounds great, and I wouldn't make a song without it. The Chorus and Flanger on the other hand, I don't have that much experience
with, so I won't go into it. The Echo sounds decent too. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of in the FX department is the "distortion".
Mainly because it doesn't distort anything. Atleast not where I'm sitting. I've tried it on guitar recordings, vocals, bass, but there's little to no difference
despite my best efforts, and extreme tuning.

Okay, so let's publish it! MixPad lets you publish to alot of various formats. Such as mp3, wma, gsm, vox, real audio, and many more.
Now the song's been published, it sounds good, has nice reverb, it's been painless and lots of fun. I'd say; This MixPad Review
gets a 9/10. I would recommend MixPad to anyone, and I might look into buying the full version myself after the trial version runs out.
Hope you had fun reading this, and that you learned something. As you know I allways take critique, so just contact me from the main-domain
